This board is part of the SD collection, and is one of the first machine shaped boards made in Australia. Two were made but one was destroyed in Bali. The beginning of the end of hand shapes??

Byrne surfboards were from Wollongong south of Sydney. Probably one of the best-known south coast boards mainly because of their quality and sponsored riders, including Tom Carroll and Robbie Page. This was Robbie’s personal rider, shaped by Phil Byrne.
