This board is part of the Surfworld museum exhibition in Currumbin Queensland. This was one of the first examples of Balsa construction. Balsa only became available in Australia in the 50’s. The availability of Balsa spelled the end of plywood construction. [modula id=”5904″]

As with a lot of these older balsa boards, they were made by some of the old masters. Great example and it’s very like the board I started on n 1962.
