Shane
Shane surfboards were originally from Eastwood in Sydney but moved to Brookvale become a mover and shaker in the industry. Shane did the surf reports on the radio, and if you worked for him or were one of the crew, and there were many he held some great parties at the factory. He has only just recently retired and is traveling to see some the parts of Australia he has missed like most of us we followed the coastline, but hardly ever entered the interior.
Shane is also credited with bringing the first Ugh boots into Australian surf shops. An unrecognized figure in all of the Shane industry was his brother Dave, who worked behind the scenes while Shane was the ultimate showman, Dave was the introverted no-nonsense nice guy.
Shane son is still making boards and is a highly regarded surfer.
