Mooloolaba surf centre was operated at the time by the legendary Peter Troy, one of the founders of the Bells Contest and an avid traveller, rare for the formative years of surfing Peter travelled the globe finding waves we would all eventually know in daily conversation but in the 60’s he was surfing in countries we didn’t even know existed. a true pioneer of our surfing history.
